Bob Vinci, born January 14, 1947, passed away June 5, 2017 with his family by his side, after fighting a hard battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, “Pap and Poppy”. He was a great cook and would often be found in the kitchen preparing meals where everyone was welcome at the table. He also loved family vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC and St. Augustine, FL.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many years hunting, fishing, shooting and pigeon racing. He will be remembered by his friends at The Patch where he spent many hours playing cards and cooking. He was a true friend to everyone he met.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife of 43 years, Christa Green Vinci, his daughter, Michele Robey and son Christopher, grandchildren, Madison Robey, Luke Vinci, Tommy and Andrew Miller, great grandchildren, Jordan Short, April and Alexis Miller, brothers, Norman and Richard (Bonita) and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren from his previous marriage. He will also be missed by his special little buddy, Tucker Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Peg Vinci, a sister, Peggy Vinci, and grandson, Austin Robey.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing on Wednesday, June 7th at 1:00 PM, with Rev. George Loar officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church one hour prior to service from 12 to 1 PM.
