Frances Louvene Burns, 84, formerly of Pleasant St, Piedmont and most recently of Heartland of Keyser, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.
Born May 22, 1930 in Tucker County, she was the daughter of the late Oakey Laban and Gertie Jane (Allen) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville Burns, five sisters, Maggie, Nettie, Nannie, Myrtle, and Jackie, three brothers, Dale, Oakey, and William, and a daughter-in-law, Faye Burns.
Mrs. Burns was a homemaker. She was a member of Piedmont Pentecostal Holiness Church and a former member of Savage River Full Gospel Church.
She leaves behind her children, Fran Paugh and husband Bob of Piedmont, Bob Burns and wife Jill of Westernport, MD, Dennis Burns and wife Donna of Keyser, Larry Burns and wife Karen of Swanton, MD, Mike Burns and wife Mary Lynn of Burlington, Della Warnick and husband Paul of Keyser, and Joan Simpkins and husband Steve of Morgantown, one sister, Geraldine Wilkins and one brother, Boyd Smith and wife Sue. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, MD, on Thursday, September 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 12th at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Samuel Biser officiating.
Interment will be in Queens Point Cemetery, Keyser.
